Acclym
platform

(Former Agritask)
Acclym is a B2B platform that helps food&beverage companies managing their products supply chain and keep track of quality and quantity of production at scale.
The platform also assists food companies, amongst other functions, to stay on track on carbon emission and deforestation regulations.

*Agritask recently changed their brand name to “Acclym”. I was working mostly under the Agritask brand, therefore the web app present the previous name.
The users
Agronomists and supply managers employed in food & beverage companies.
The issue
Food & beverage companies must line up with many regulations regarding quality and sustainability demanded by external unions.
The growing need of tracking down the source of our foods has led companies to search for a solution to help them be more aware of the source of the yield they purchase from growers worldwide.
The solution
Agritask’s platform helps with creating a database that includes all needed information about growers and their yield supply, and keeps the companies aware of any possible shortages, non-compliance with regulations and quality assurance.
The web platform structure
The desktop app is constructed of 3 different solution fields that are aimed at different user types:
Agronomy / Sustainability / Supply prediction
Redesign
the navigation
system
The system recently went through a overall facelift, getting rid of the old-fashioned top menu system, changing to a side, expandable menu allowing a full view of locations and breadcrumbs. Through the process we eliminated unused items, and rearranged the features by categories and group. A search bar was added to the menu allowing the user to find all items more easily, as well as folders hierarchy view.

Project
hierarchies
building
Each client using the system has different requirements and organization structure. Acclym’s SE team is onboarding new clients based on their structure and hierarchy in order to create a chain of commands that functions without intervention.
A farm might work with a trader that sells to a food cooperative that supplies the largest food & beverage chains in the world.
The latest in line must ensure the source of products and keep track of food and sustainability regulations. a functioning organization chart is a must in following the supply chain.

import
wizard
Acclym servers large scale corporations that deal with big amount of data.
In attempt to make the system more self service and give the users the freedom to build their projects tailored to their needs, we created a step-by-step wizard that guides the users on uploading their data from their own files. The first wizard is optimized with uploading polygons from shape files and categories the data by types such as crop, grower, area and ownership.
Crop
growth & risk
settings
In order to manage crops and predict yield sufficiency, the growth protocol and risk factors must be defined ahead of the growing season. Each crop had different growing conditions based on the verity and growing location. A crop ia effected firstly by the weather and more specifically by the amount of heat/frost exposure.
The parameters are defined ahead of time and monitored during the growing period in order to predict yield shortage and quality.

Mobile app:
A reporting
tool
The Acclym mobile app is a supporting tool to the desktop app. It allows users to collect data directly from the field and send it back into the platform for calculations and analysis.
The mobile app has different functionalities and is meant to support other user types. The app contains current location and tracks the user’s path on ground. The app allows users to report on different growing measures directly from the field and sends the data back to the client’s management level.
